Our Process

THE NEED

The need for this holistic, multimodal substance abuse treatment approach in Charleston is great.  Charleston Recovery Center proposes to meet the needs of this “at risk” population with a multimodal, holistic treatment approach which will be implemented by creating an intensive and comprehensive treatment concept.  Most individuals who suffer from substance abuse have underlying behavioral and other mental health problems that contribute to their substance abuse problems. All presenting problems will be addressed in three (3) phases of treatment.

PHASE 1- INDUCTION

The first phase of the residential rehabilitation program is called “INDUCTION” and covers a period of 3 – 6 months. During this phase the resident is introduced to the C/T Recovery Program. He/she will follow a regimented course of spiritual, emotional and physical realignment through the programs offered. During this time, based on their progression, residents will transition into an employment program and will complete their studies in the afternoon and evenings.

PHASE 2- TRAINING

Phase 2 allows the residents from 4th to 9th month, based on progression, to complete curriculum classes and also enroll in other programs offered by the center. The residents will learn to handle responsibilities and privileges often assisting new residents in their induction into the program.

PHASE 3- RE-ENTRY

Phase 3 will occur between the 8th to the 10th month depending on the resident’s progress through the phases of the program. The purpose of the re-entry phase is to assist graduates in making the transition from the residential phase of the program to becoming successful and contributing members of society. During this phase graduates will have the opportunity to attend maintenance meetings and also volunteer at the center based on his/her need.
